Microsoft 365 migration calculator
Free planning band
What is actually moving?
Tick every source that is in scope. Leave the rest off.
- Tenant-to-tenant is a move between two Microsoft 365 tenants. The next questions ask which pieces inside those tenants are moving.
- It does not include Google Drive, an on-premises file server, or on-premises SharePoint. Tick those only if they are moving as well.
- If part of it is not worth moving yet, leave it unticked.

Answers stay in this browser until you ask for the report. The band is a planning range, not a quote.
What are you migrating?
Select every source that is actually moving. A tenant-to-tenant move is between two Microsoft 365 tenants. It does not include Google Drive.
Exchange, files, SharePoint, or a tenant-to-tenant move. You get a complexity reading and a range in pounds. The range is an early budgeting guide, not a formal quotation.
What changes the band
- What is moving
- Mail, file shares, Google Drive, on-premises SharePoint and a tenant-to-tenant move are separate jobs. Tick only the sources that are actually in scope.
- How many people
- The band steps up with headcount. An approximate number is enough.
- Where it lives now
- Google Workspace, older Exchange, public folders, and a SharePoint full of custom workflows all change the tools.
- How soon, and whether Microsoft 365 exists
- A four-week deadline widens the band. A tenant that still needs building does too.
The work itself is tenant migration, usually after a look at the Microsoft 365 foundation. Identity, licensing and the existing tenant are covered in Microsoft 365 foundation setup.
What affects migration cost?
Migration projects vary considerably depending on the source platform, data volumes, permissions, coexistence requirements and business constraints.
The calculator provides an early planning range, but factors such as large mailboxes, complex SharePoint permissions, public folders, third-party integrations and legacy infrastructure can influence the final scope.
The purpose of this estimate is to help with budgeting and planning before a detailed discovery exercise. There is a longer note on what drives the calendar and the fee, and the work itself is tenant migration.
How we approach migrations
Successful migrations are rarely about moving data. They are about keeping people productive while the move takes place.
Our focus is on minimising disruption, maintaining access to services and ensuring users can continue working throughout the transition, whether that's a tenant-to-tenant migration, Exchange migration or SharePoint modernisation project.
